East Berkshire out of hours nhs website design was a bespoke website built on WordPress. The nhs website design has it’s own individual colours. This website has heavy social media usage in the sidebar. The blog facility is used regularly to provide more interesting content to the website visitors. The web site was built using advanced custom fields. The main purpose of using this was to create a design that was easy to manage.

This website has a login area for staff which allows the healthcare professionals to access forms and information. This is restricted to logged in users and is completely managed in the WordPress admin area. This nhs website design is primarily used to provide out of hours information about surgeries for patients. To do this we created pages for each surgery and have clear navigation to them. Each surgery contains their contact information and address as well as detailed directions. These can all be managed from the WordPress dashboard like any page or post. The navigation is well setup so that users can get to the information they want within 3 clicks. This makes sure that user experience is really good.

The website is responsive to mobile devices. The site shrinks down and reshapes for mobiles and iPads. This helps with SEO for Google rankings as well as user experience. The nhs website design is clean with a clinical feel that fits in with the purpose of the website. The website shows all of their social media such as Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter feeds. This helps to make the site more interesting but also provides fresh content. The benefit to having the social media is that if users click through and like or follow they will see updates in their feed. Visitors may not regularly visit a website to see the latest news. But with social media it automatically appears in their feeds.
