Proper Pubs

Intro

The Proper Pubs website is a Joomla to WordPress conversion. We were tasked with taking the existing website and converting to WordPress while making some updates to styles and layouts, adding in additional pages here and there. We have done many Joomla conversions over the years, and each one poses it’s challenges but the reasons for conversions are always the same. The client was struggling to keep the website up to date due to restrictions within the chosen CMS. Therefore our emphasis was not only on cloning the look of the website, but also on making it was easy to use and administer as possible.

We custom coded the entire template using bootstrap to make it responsive to mobile and tablets, while using flexible layouts to allow the client to adapt any portion of their website. We integrated Google Maps API to the custom theme so that we could offer filtering of pubs based on locations and distances. We also added in animations and transitions to match the existing website using animate.css.
