Calmnsoothe is a drupal conversion ecommerce driven website. We were approached by this client who was having awful problems administering his website. He found it hard to use, and was unable to achieve everything he needed to with his shop. Difficulties included adding and editing products as well as page content. Looking over his existing website we decided that it would be better as a drupal conversion to WordPress.

Before migrating the website we gave the client a demo site to use, and walking him through editing content. He was soon able to add and remove products, edit pages and add images. Overall he was happy that a drupal conversion was for him. While we kept much of the design the same as the original website we did recode the entire site to make it responsive to ipads and phones. The previous site was not responsive and we felt that he was losing potential customers because of this.

It can be easy to migrate content from drupal to WordPress but the problem with this website was that the previous designer had used images for everything. This included embedding all page content in images. As a result of this nothing could be edited and managed despite drupal being a leading CMS. We therefore had to start fresh with the content. With the experience this client had already had with drupal we felt that we needed to make sure that his drupal conversion made management the best it could be.

Further benefits to using Woocommerce for their online shop was that he had complete sales records. He is now able to use the rich set of tools Woocommerce has to offer for online stores. Shipping zones were setup, packing slips, pdf invoices, rich sales reports and Mailchimp marketing. The client is very happy and now manages his website from day to day with no problems.
