Drive with Belron is a ‘one pager’ bespoke web design built on a framework theme designed for LMarks. We built a custom theme for them to use on their lab projects, which is flexible, easy to use and professional. The theme uses Advanced custom fields to make every area of the website editable. The huge benefit to this is that if ever greater functionality or adjustments are required, fields can be altered and created to suit. While many theme developers opt for the visual editor when packaging themes, we’ve found it to be troublesome for most clients.
This theme is a one pager which allows the client to turn on and off sections depending on whether they want to use them. Subtle CSS animations are used to make icons and text appear at certain times, and to make the buttons pulse. This makes the website more interesting to interact with, but also draws the eye to where the user should click. While the theme was designed to be a one pager, we did make sure that if the client ever decided to add more that they could. We included templates for a standard page, as well as complete blog integration should they ever require a news section on the website. These functions are used in some of their other lab websites using this theme.
The website was built using Bootstrap so it is completely responsive to all screen sizes. Elements of the design stack, shrink and reorder to best present the information on the page. We are dedicated with making sure that all users share a great experience when using the website on any device. Since most website traffic is now mobile, getting responsiveness right is really important. All animations and transitions on the website work on mobiles and tablets ensuring a really similar user experience.
