The Sandstone

The Sandstone Pub web design was built on WordPress content management system. It allows the landlord the ability to edit any of the content on the site from the sliders to page content or blog. It was built before web standards denoted that a website should be responsive, but it still looks good and has a modern feel. The pub web design colours are black and green any they opted to have a very dark website with prominent white text. This helps the site to look clean but also provides a chalk board effect.

When we developed the pub web design we added in a widget area to the left of the slider to hold important information. The restaurant are currently using this space to show off their TripAdvisor scores and certificate. We have also helped them to add in a readable list of reviews in the sidebar to help their website visitors make the decision to dine with them. There is also social media integration in the header of each page allowing visitors to like or share their content on a variety of social media.

The pub web design is heavily optimised for Google. They appear in the top pages for all of their key search terms and have continued to do so for the past 5 years. This is a result of coding with SEO in mind, but also on page optimisation and backlinks which were added to further push their rankings up. We wrote all of the content for the website, concentrating on natural keyword dispersal – but also to make the site more interesting. This was mixed in with content for people visiting the local area who may be walking the Sandstone trail or looking for activities. The result of this was that they appeared in searches relevant to local activities as a place to go and eat.
