The Bridal Guide – bridal website directory
The Bridal Guide is the sister site of an existing Coderra client – The Wedding Dress Diet Plan. Having already completed a project recently to redesign the logo and revamp the bridal website of the Wedding Dress Diet Plan, the client then asked us to focus on The Bridal Guide, with a similar brief for this particular project.
The client asked us to use the same theme for the two sites, to show that they were linked and create a sense of consistency between the two. Consistency is important for branding, and when managing two sites which are aligned in such a way, it’s a great way to develop trust in consumers.
The new site had to have the ability to mass import the data that was already stored on the site. The Bridal Guide is a directory packed with wedding suppliers of all kinds – and losing the details of these suppliers (or having to input them all manually) would have been catastrophic for the company. We ensured that the mass import went successfully, and we also integrated the important GeoDirectory WordPress plugin, which creates a searchable database for visitors to browse at their leisure. This was paramount to the success of the entire project, and the team at Coderra pulled it off perfectly.
Lastly, the client asked us to create a blog section, to ensure that they’d have a place to post any updates, special events, competitions and news related to the company. Business blogs are essential for any website nowadays – they’re crucial when it comes to communicating with visitors and developing your brand identity. We created a simple, easy-to-manage blog area for the bridal website, allowing the team to post updates complete with videos, links and other multimedia whenever they want.
